The Wine Kitz Story
The company started in Vancouver, B.C. in 1959 under the famous name of Wine Art, and continues to operate as a leader in the consumer winemaking industry with the Wine Kitz name. Today we are one of the world’s largest and most respected winemaking retailers. Since Wine Kitz develops and manufactures its own wine juices and concentrates, we are able to stand confidently behind the quality of our wines. We guarantee that you’ll love the wines you make with us!
Wine Kitz ensures that every aspect of the wine kit production process will result in high quality wines for your enjoyment. We source grapes from top vineyards and wineries around the world. At our state-of-the-art facility in St. Catharines, ON, we combine traditional procedures and technical modernization to develop quality wines that meet our exacting standards, and that have characteristics and taste profiles of comparable commercial wines.
Wine Kitz Sidney
Each Wine Kitz location is independently owned and operated. What this means to you is that while you can enjoy the quality product and expert service you have come to expect from Wine Kitz, you receive the added benefit of the passion, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of both Donna and Derek Finlayson.
Derek has been a winemaker for over 35 years, and was introduced to the Wine Art line of products within the first year. In 2002 Derek retired after 25 years in his previous career. Envious of those whose business was their hobby, Donna and Derek turned to Wine Kitz to start their next career. That was an easy decision as they always found the quality of Wine Kitz wines to meet their expectations and satisfaction.
Our Store
As you enter the store you will enjoy a clean, comfortable and professional environment. Wine Kitz Sidney has cheerful, friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you enjoy your wine-making experience. In addition to their wide selection of wine products, they also carry a good selection of equipment, supplies and additives for the home vintner.
The on-premises winery is well organized (and, of course, clean) and has the most up-to-date equipment available. This makes your bottling experience fast, easy and enjoyable. Please see our On-Premise Winery page for more information about this option.
